>> UK Developer, ESL Demonstrates Web Based Workflow Solution at CeBIT 2001

A workflow solution which helps companies to manage and control work items and events and benefit from greater productivity has been developed by EuroSoft Systems Ltd (ESL) and will be demonstrated at CeBIT 2001 on stand C52 in Hall 18 (Banking Technology).

EventMan is a web based workflow solution and is particularly appropriate to organisations wishing to share data across departments, organisations, countries and even with other companies, such as their partners and clients. Central to the demonstrations being given by ESL at the show, will be EventMan’s new multilingual capability, which will be launched at CeBIT 2001.

EventMan manages procedures, scheduled and non-scheduled tasks and specific jobs, and incorporates seamless links to Microsoft Outlook. It records and tracks data, and will trigger users to perform activities or prompt actions and procedures based on pre-defined workflows that the user can set up.

EventMan generates automatic archives to create highly effective audit trails and offers open-ended reporting and management tools, providing essential accountability data.

One of the key features of EventMan is that it allows the host company to set up communities of users, which can include suppliers, customers and other external users, where appropriate, through a restricted access, highly secure web interface. Similarly, remote workers can access the central database and input additional information through worldwide mobile access using a standard phone line. There is no need for the remote party to have the software or any data related to EventMan as all the data and the application are held on a central web server, following the classic ASP model.

EventMan’s CTI module allows users to benefit from call centre automation features such as trigger call menus and screen pops; automatic dialling and connection to available agents; contact management cue cards and call scripting screen pops; and order processing and inbound call fulfilment.

In the world of banking, insurance, leasing and financial services, workflow systems have already made their mark, with some European companies reporting an increase in productivity of up to 80% since installing event management software.

Russ Cole, Managing Director of ESL, said: “We are very excited about the prospect of demonstrating the new productivity features of EventMan and we hope to attract the attention of potential customers who are looking for a tailored workflow solution, particularly those needing multilingual functionality.”

EventMan is available from ESL as a standalone system, or it can be extended and integrated with other modules. The company will develop bespoke components if required.
